A couple of miles away, in a thick, green forest, there was an elephant. He was strong and large and he liked to show off. He would often pick on creatures smaller than himself. He kicked rabbits, laughed at deer and turned a hose on the monkeys for amusement.
One day, the elephant noticed a line of ants carrying food. He laughed out loud and spoke to them: “You creatures of such small size! You’re so weak!” He then sprayed water on them and kicked their food around.
The ants were so angry, but they didn’t retaliate. Instead, they made a plan. That night, as the elephant slept, hundreds of ants entered into his trunk and ears. The elephant awoke in agony and began to cry out, “No! I’m sorry! I’ll never be mean again!”
So out came the ants, “You’ll find, even the smallest are capable of teaching a big lesson.”
And from that day on the elephant was friendly to all animals.
Moral: Never underestimate anyone, no matter how small they are.
