Little Red Riding Hood

Little Red Riding Hood

Once, there was a little sweet girl who wore a red cloak with a hood that everyone liked so much that everyone started to call her Little Red Riding Hood. To everyone she was Little Red Riding Hood. One day, her mother handed her a basket of food and said, “Give this to your grandmother. She is sick. But mind the path, and don’t talk to strangers!”

And Little Red Riding Hood promised, and set off upon her road. The forest was silent and there were lots of beautiful flowers. As she was walking, she met a big bad wolf.

“Where are you off to, little girl?” asked the wolf.

“I’m going to go see my grandma and take her some food,” she said.

The sly wolf grinned, whispering, “Why, bring her some flowers!”

Little Red Riding Hood said yes, and began to pick flowers. While she was doing that, the wolf made for grandmother’s house at top speed.

The wolf knocked on the door. Grandma believed it to be Red Riding Hood and spoke up, “Come in!”.

The wolf went in and frightened Grandma and shut her up in a closet. Then he dressed in her clothes and climbed into bed to wait.

JOURNEY TO THE HOUSE Little Red Riding Hood soon came to the house and knocked.

“Come in, little one,” said the wolf, with an assumed voice.

Red Riding Hood went in, and looked at everything closely.

“Grandma, what big eyes you have!”

“To make you out better,” said the wolf.

“Grandmamma, what great ears you have got!”

“To hear you better.”

“Grandmother, what big teeth you have!”

“To EAT you better!” exclaimed the wolf, leaping to his feet.

Red Riding Hood screamed. A friendly woodcutter heard and burst in. He drove the wolf away and Grandma came out of the cupboard.

Little Red Riding Hood threw her arms around her grandmother. She apologized for not listening to her mother.

She never spoke to strangers or got off the path after that day.

Moral of the Story: Obey your elders and don’t talk to strangers. It can keep you safe.
